Better run, better run, outrun my gun ...

As I mentioned before, when I went to the Lush launch last Friday, I picked up a few items, including their bestselling cleanser, Angels on Bare Skin. I''ve used this every morning and evening (bar one, where I felt I needed a deeper clean and used my Liz Earle), so that I could give a reasonably fair review. Usually if my skin's going to react to something, it does so in the first few days of using it, and it goes red or I start to get a few spots where I wouldn't usually. I'm happy to say that I haven't experienced any of that with the cleanser, and I'm glad because I really do like it. It's a slightly bizarre product when you first try using it as it's like a paste in the container, and you break off a bit, add water in your hand and then wash your face with the milky liquid it produces. There's a slight exfoliation when using this (very gentle I might add, so should be okay for those with sensitive skin). I found that it was just enough to feel like I'd really cleansed my skin, but not so much that I felt I'd given it a real scrub. The ingredients include lavender, which I've found really soothing for my skin, particularly with the freak heat we're having at the moment as the skin on my face tends to get very hot, red and irritated with heat. Overall, I'd say this is a very nice cleanser, and suitable for all skin types. However, if you're looking for a deeper clean, I'd use something else in the evening, and maybe stick to using this in the morning, like I've decided to do.

As you can see, it is much more of a paste than your usual cleanser.

from london, with love.
